Jonathan has a degree in translation from ISTI (Institut Supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes, Brussels, Belgium), one of Europe’s leading translation and interpreting schools. He is a trained interpreter, a specialist in multimedia translation and a certified European Excellence Award Assessor.
After university, Jonathan worked as a localisation engineer for Beyondsoft, a major software development, testing and localisation company in China, while managing a European business and resource development project.
In 2005, Jonathan returned to Brussels, at the heart of the European Union, to work as a registered freelance translator for many of the world’s largest translation companies and as a journalist for several Belgian press agencies before founding TWIS in 2008.
Jonathan founded TWIS with the strong belief that internal reviews and reduced outsourcing are key to translation quality.
